📄 Terms and Conditions for SonicSyncSail

ℹ️ Note for users of earlier versions: SonicSyncSail Version 1.0.0 included an optional audio recording feature. All recordings were stored locally on your device and were never uploaded, transmitted, or shared by the app. As of Version 1.0.1, the recording feature has been removed. This Terms and Conditions document reflects the functionality of the current version. Existing recordings from Version 1.0.0 remain on your device unless you delete them manually.

📌 1. Use of the App

SonicSyncSail is an offline-first music player designed to organize, manage, and play music stored on your Android device. It also offers optional features such as:

  • Online radio streaming
  • Tag editing with album-art updates
  • Dynamic playback queues
  • Waveform visualization
  • file sharing

You may use the App solely for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations.

📱 2. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use SonicSyncSail solely for your personal use, subject to the following conditions:

  • You shall not reproduce, distribute, modify, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the App.
  • You shall not use the App to infringe upon the rights of others or distribute copyrighted materials unlawfully.
  • All intellectual property related to the App belongs solely to the Developer.

📥 3. User Content

The App interacts with local files and optionally allows sharing. You are responsible for:

  • Ensuring you have legal rights to use, store, or share any content
  • Complying with copyright or broadcasting laws when using streaming features
  • Respecting others' privacy and ownership during sharing

We do not host or distribute any music or media. All functionality is local or with services you explicitly authorize.

🔄 5. File Sharing

SonicSyncSail uses Android's built-in sharing system (Intent.ACTION_SEND). The operating system handles the transfer through the app you choose (e.g., Bluetooth, Wi-Fi Direct, or messaging apps). All transfers occur locally via the OS; SonicSyncSail does not manage connections or collect recipient data. You agree not to use this feature to distribute material unlawfully and accept responsibility for what is shared.

🛠 6. Modifications and Updates

We may modify or discontinue features without prior notice. Users are responsible for updating the app to ensure continued functionality and security.

We prioritize your privacy. No personal data is collected by default. Refer to our Privacy Policy for full details.

⚖ 8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as-is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted use, accuracy of metadata, compatibility, or legal compliance of the feature in all regions.

🚫 9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including data loss, legal claims, or misuse of shared content.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access at any time for any reason, especially if these Terms are violated.

🌍 11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Indian law. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of Indian courts for resolving disputes.
