Data Deletion Request – SonicSyncSail
At SonicSyncSail, we respect your privacy and provide full transparency about how data is handled. This page explains how you can request deletion of any data that SonicSyncSail can access or control, and what to expect after submitting a request.
How to Request Data Deletion
To request data deletion, please send an email to: contact@sonicsyncsail.com
Use the subject line: Data Deletion Request
No additional personal information is required.
Important Architecture Clarification
SonicSyncSail does not operate, own, or maintain any servers. The app does not support user accounts, does not require sign-in, and does not store user data on developer-controlled backend systems.
All app-related data is processed and stored locally on your device, or handled directly by Google’s services as described below.
What Data Can Be Deleted
- Local app preferences: playback settings, favorite lists, equalizer and visualizer configuration
- Playback history stored by the app
- Optional audio recordings created using SonicSyncSail
- Edited song metadata and locally updated album artwork
Important: All of the above data is stored only on your device. SonicSyncSail cannot delete this data remotely. You may delete it immediately by uninstalling the app, clearing app storage in Android system settings, or manually deleting SonicSyncSail files and folders.
What Happens After You Submit a Request
After receiving your Data Deletion Request email, we will respond to confirm how SonicSyncSail handles data.
Because SonicSyncSail does not use user accounts, does not collect personally identifiable information, and does not operate any servers, we are unable to identify individual users or delete data remotely from devices.
Our response will explain:
- That no personal data is stored on SonicSyncSail servers, because no servers exist
- That all app data is stored locally on your device
- The steps you can take to delete local app data immediately
Third-Party Services and Data
SonicSyncSail integrates the following Google services:
- Google Firebase Analytics for anonymous usage analytics
- Firebase Crashlytics for anonymous crash diagnostics
- Google AdMob for non-personalized advertisements
- Google Play Billing for subscription processing
Any data collected by these services is anonymous, stored and controlled by Google, and is not accessible or deletable by SonicSyncSail.
To manage or request deletion of this data, users must use Google’s tools, including:
- Google Account privacy and data settings
- Advertising ID reset options for ads-related data
Retention periods for this data are determined by Google’s policies.
Additional Notes
- Core offline playback and editing features require no personal data
- Optional recordings, preferences, and edits are stored locally on your device
- All communication with Google services occurs over encrypted HTTPS connections
